MBA/MSE IE (Dual Degree) Program
The MBA/MSE in Industrial Engineering dual degree is an online program that requires 56 credit hours of study over three years, including eight courses from the MBA program and eight courses from the MSE program The online MBA/MSE in Industrial Engineering dual degree is designed for working professionals who have an undergraduate engineering, science or mathematics degree and at least one year of work experience, and who are beginning to take on management responsibilities. This degree is also for managers who want to stay current in their area of expertise and sense the need to develop enhanced business acumen. Students typically remain employed while they are in the program.
Program Information
- Initial on-campus orientation providing interaction with student colleagues and faculty
- Lockstep MBA curriculum students enter and take all MBA courses as a group
- Courses taught in sequence with all required interaction taking place online
- Flexible choices of four focused industrial engineering areas: information systems and management systems engineering; operations research and production systems; quality and reliability engineering; logistics/supply chain engineering

Special Admissions Information
Admissions committees from the two schools individually review applications and provide recommendations to the ASU Graduate College. Recommendations are made independently based on established requirements and criteria for each school.
Entrance to the MBA/MSE Industrial Engineering program is contingent upon the student meeting all normal requirements of the ASU Graduate College, as well as the competitive admissions requirements of the W. P. Carey MBA and the Ira A. Fulton School of Engineering MSE in Industrial Engineering program.
Only one application is necessary for both programs, and it must include answers to three essay questions and a current resume. In addition, two letters of reference and official transcripts should be submitted directly to the ASU Graduate College. GMAT scores are required for the MBA application. GRE scores may be accepted. Program costs include two years of MBA tuition. The third year of engineering courses is subject to ASU Graduate tuition and fees.
A bachelor's degree in industrial engineering, another engineering discipline, computer science, mathematics or science is generally required (bachelorÕs degree in a business discipline to be considered on a case-by-case basis). A minimum undergraduate GPA of 3.2 is required.
