About this certification

Participants get access to a selection of ASU online courses (see course listings below) and materials on several topics of interest to the company for 90 days after their enrollment date. 

eSilicon employees enroll in courses and complete at their own pace.

ASU can grant a certificate to employees who successfully complete 5 courses with an average score of 70% or higher on quizzes. 

Prerequisites

All potential students should hold an engineering Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in the following disciplines: Electronics Engineering, Telecommunications, and Mechatronics; and range in levels of work experience from recent graduates with less than 2 years of experience, to senior and staff-level engineers with 8+ years. 

eSilicon employees being targeted for these courses work in the following areas:

  1. Circuit Design 
    Digital/Analog – CMOS circuit design at transistor level for Memory IPs, IOs 
  2. Layout Design 
    Physical custom design – mask design for Memory IPs, Standard Cells, IOs 
  3. CAD 
    Develop CAD tools to automate designs, design/QA/QC flows, and data management 
  4. Web 
    Develop web applications to control design flows and QA/QC flows

All targeted participants should have prior knowledge in: 

  • Device Physics (CMOS) 
  • Circuit theory 
  • Digital/Analog circuit design 
  • Digital/analog systems 
  • Skills of using EDA tools (Simulator, Design, Verification) and Linux/Unix are preferable
