What is a Digital Credential?

A digital credential is a visual representation of an achievement or a developed competency, gained through academic coursework, experiential learning, professional development, or workforce training. They empower you to share your knowledge, skills, achievements and experiences through an easily verifiable and portable digital record. By issuing digital credentials after achieving specific learning experiences, we can help you to demonstrate and collect a record of your learning accomplishments to share with current and potential employers, internships, project managers, etc.

We are committed to give you the tools necessary to achieve your professional goals and we understand that communicating your digital credentials can be challenging. That is why Arizona State University has partnered with Badgr to provide you with a digital version of your credentials. Digital badges can be used in email signatures, digital resumes and social media sites such as LinkedIn. This digital image contains verified metadata that describes your qualifications and the process required to earn them.
