The Fulton Schools of Engineering has created a series of professional certification programs to develop a highly technical workforce in today’s most in-demand areas of computing. In partnership with Coursera, we are offering these professional certifications as MasterTrack™ Certificates to address the global demand for professionals in these areas.
Learn data mining techniques, data analytics, and deep learning and reinforcement learning algorithms.
Learn to build and deploy AI and machine learning models through hands-on exploration.
Learn to protect and defend information and information systems from experts at ASU.
Learn how to apply software development concepts to blockchain technology, validate the sustainability of smart mobile applications, and apply software architecture and design principles.
Students in this program benefit from a deeply engaging learning experience with real-world projects and live, expert instruction. You can pursue this professional certification as a stand-alone credential or you can continue toward a graduate degree.
The Master in Computer Science program allows MasterTrack™ Certificate coursework to count towards your chosen degree requirements (provided the courses grades are "B" or higher and are within the last 3 years at the time of admission). All coursework taken before the start of a degree program is subject to approval by the Program Chair and the Graduate College. An application is required for admission consideration for a master's program.
Each professional certification program or MasterTrack™ Certificate requires three graduate-level courses in a specific technical domain. You have the option to choose the three required courses from a list of applicable course options. You are able to complete the program in 4-6 months, the schedule adapts to your needs. If you get a B or better on your first attempt in every course in this MasterTrack™ Certificate, you will earn a university-issued certification.
In addition to the university-issued certification, by earning the MasterTrack™ Certificate you satisfy the GPA requirement for the ASU Master of Computer Science degree program. Apply these credits to begin the Master of Computer Science program with 9 of your 30 required credits completed. Students must still meet all other admission criteria in order to be eligible for the graduate degree program.
