In 2024, Arizona State University’s Global Outreach and Extended Education (GOEE) reached a groundbreaking milestone, awarding over 20,000 certifications through Coursera in a diverse range of cutting-edge fields. These certifications spanned pivotal areas such as Additive Manufacturing, Battery Technologies, Semiconductor Characterization, Human Factors & Usability Engineering, and Design of Experiments, underscoring the organization’s dedication to equipping professionals with industry-relevant skills.

This year also marked the successful introduction of stackable microcredentials, a concept designed to offer learners modular, specialized pathways to deepen their expertise. Over 1,500 certifications were awarded in innovative subjects, including Factory Dashboards with MQTT, Semiconductor Packaging: Fundamental Concepts and Drivers, Semiconductor Packaging, Assembly, and Test and Assistive Technology Microcontroller Applications, demonstrating ASU’s commitment to adaptable and accessible learning solutions.
