The Lean Six Sigma Green Belt - Manufacturing Certification Program is a 10-week, project-based program designed to combine the valuable techniques of Lean and Six Sigma into one comprehensive program designed specifically for professionals in the manufacturing sector. This certification program provides the knowledge and skills required to effectively manage Lean Six Sigma projects within the manufacturing industry to improve processes, increase efficiency, and reduce waste.
The Lean Six Sigma Green Belt - Manufacturing Certification Program uses Canvas™ for the facilitation of communications between the course facilitator and participants, submission of assessments, program material, and posting of grades. The program is a combination of course-work, assessment quizzes, tollgates and completion of an applied project. Many of the deliverables are aligned to assignments and project status updates, or Tollgates. All submissions must be made through the Canvas learning system. Students will progress through the course individually but are part of a cohort with a defined start and end date to guide completion of the course-work.

The Lean Six Sigma Green Belt - Manufacturing Certification Program is designed for professionals in a wide range of industries including automotive, robotics, aerospace, defense, mechanical engineering, product design, computer graphics, chemicals, clothing/textile, construction, technology/electronics, shipbuilding, farming, pharmaceuticals and food manufacturing. Participant backgrounds include engineers, manufacturing executives, research scientists, developers, designers, quality control professionals, technicians, plant managers and project managers, product development professionals, technology and innovation strategists.
The Lean Six Sigma Green Belt - Manufacturing certification program was designed by a team of faculty members, industry professionals, instructional designers and experienced Lean Six Sigma professionals to ensure the learning objectives, course framework and assessments are validated and aligned to industry needs and standards. The curriculum, instructional videos, exams and activities for this program were led by the following instructors.
Lisa has over 25 years of working experience in all aspects of process management and continuous improvement. Her work spans Six Sigma, Lean, Design, Total Productive Maintenance, and Total Quality Management. Prior titles include Principal with Accenture, Director with George Group Consulting, and Director of Quality in the semiconductor industry. She holds a Ph.D. and MSE in Industrial Engineering from Arizona State University and a Bachelors of Mechanical Engineering from Georgia Institute of Technology.
Clayton is the Director of the Business and Finance Organizational Performance Office in the Office of the Executive Vice President, Treasurer and Chief Financial Officer at Arizona State University. His office consults with nine diverse Business and Finance operational areas to lower costs, improve operational efficiency and provide the highest quality customer experience to internal and external customers.
